- Biography
- Best was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, and was ordained in 1731 and appointed curate of Bilston, near Wolverhampton, in 1737. Sir Samuel was acquainted with Best from at least 1765 when the clergyman gave advice on the marriage proposals with Ralph Moreton.
