Biography
Roger Eykyn (1725–1795) was an architect, nurseryman, building contractor and joiner. He designed St Paul’s Church, Hockley (now Jewellery Quarter) which was started 1777 and consecrated in 1779, and may have designed St John’s Church, Wolverhampton (consecrated, 1776). He is listed as ‘Eykin, Roger, Surveyor and nurseryman, Walsall street’ Wolverhampton in Pearson and Rollason’s The Birmingham Wolverhampton Walsall Dudley Bilston and Willenhall Directory, 1780-1.
