Dear Grandmama
I have shew’d Mr Rock my thumb and he opened it last
lat Night and hopes it will soon be well. It has been very sore and
painfull but is something easier now. Most of the Gentlemen go
home the End of this Week. I beg you’ll please to write to my Pappa
and thank him for the Book. I would have wrote my self but
you know I cant
